SUMMARY:

The Residential Housekeeper provides guestroom service according to company standards and provides the highest quality of service for guests.  Anticipates guest needs, demonstrates sensitivity and responsiveness to ensure complete satisfaction and repeat business. To clean all guest rooms and public areas of the as assigned

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification.  Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Performs vacant cleans as scheduled.
  • Performs cleaning service as scheduled.
  • Maintains cleanliness of laundry rooms, warehouse, and any additional common areas as directed by Supervisor.
  • Performs cleaning of the office.
  • Reports service requests needed on apartments.
  • Monitors inventory of cleaning supplies and housewares.
  • Maintain proper utility settings in vacant units per community standards.
  • Performs all other duties logged on the make ready board.
  • May complete deliveries of envelopes, receipts and special request items as necessary.
  • May participate in weekly on-call duties as necessary.
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you can get along with co-workers, residents, customers, vendors, and management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required.

Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND two years of housekeeping preferred

Skill in:

  • Speaking the English language effectively to communicate with guests and colleagues Office administrative practices and procedures
  • Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities
  • Dealing successfully with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds
  • Multitasking while paying attention to detail and completing tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong organizational skills
